Is there a transparent background for Camtasia videos?
All of the videos found in the effects section do include that transparent background, and were made to work well in Camtasia. However, if you found a fireball type of effect in our stock video collection, it may need some additional work to be supported.
Can you export a video with a transparent background?
When I export videos from Premiere Pro CC with transparent background I am unable to get them to open in Camtasia 9. I am trying to figure out what settings I need to use when exporting so the video will appear with a transparent background in Camtasia 9.
Is it possible to convert Camtasia footage to effects?
Most of the effects found in the footage library can be converted, but it requires a little back end work on our side to enable that transparency in Camtasia. If there were any specific ones you had in mind though, please let us know, and I can look into getting those created for you.

Have you tried using the “Remove a color” feature of Camtasia? You should find it in the Visual Effects panel. Just open that panel, find the option and drag it and drop it on top of your image in the Timeline. Then use the eyedropper in the properties panel to sample the black.
